Daddy! I love it! Meag called me yesterday on the phone and said this to me. I couldn't believe it. We are hoping it isn't a random thing because we couldn't get her to completely do it again that night. However she knows her alphabets (she misses a few letters). She also knows her numbers from 1 to 10 (with a couple missing sometimes). We can also ask her how to sign a alphabet or number and she will sign it. I cannot believe how much help the signing time videos have been for her. Signing Time recently had a audition for kids ages 1-3. If you won then they would fly the family down to Utah for video taping the kid for a new Signing Time video. We taped Mads the other day. We were afraid it may take a few "takes" to get the right sequence of signs. The requirements were that the child needed to sign 4 of the 7 required signs at least 3-4 times in a video. So we sat down with Mads knowing these requirements and she nailed it the very first time! Here is the video we submitted to Signing Time audition:
We were afraid Mads wouldn't be able to focus because this was right before bed, even after her bedtime routine, but we were wrong. :) I'm so proud of Mads and her learning. Sometimes it seems like she is so determined to get this whole signing time figured out. I see a lot of me in her with regards to work ethic and determination. Traits that I have learned from my parents that are being passed down to my children. I love it!
