On February 20th, 2000 I met the girl of my dreams…Meag! :-) On August 4th, 2000 we got married. This year we will celebrate our 8 years of marriage. I cannot believe how fast it has gone. We are almost at a big milestone of 10 years. I’m not sure if I’ll have enough money saved up for that Hawaii trip that Meag wants to go on for our 10 year anniversary.

A couple of weeks ago we were at Costco shopping for some food and noticed an older couple (probably in their 70’s). The man was almost as tall as me (that’s really tall for a man at that age!) and the woman was about the same height as Meag. They were just walking down the aisles picking out what they needed from Costco. I reflected and pondered for a few seconds about how some day Meag and I will look like that. I have told Meag time and time again “I’m going to continue to get more out of shape over time so you better ‘get some’ while the gettin’ is good!” LOL

I love Meag with all my heart..I always have and always will. I know that’s an obvious statement I just feel the need to say it because it is completely true. Meag is my best friend, my eternal companion. I know she loves me just as much otherwise she wouldn’t put up with all the crap I hand out!

I have never met anyone as patient as she is with children. She has a wonderful gift with children, not just our own. I see it in nursery at church all the time. Kids are drawn to her spirit. They can’t get enough of it. That is something that I’ve always noticed about Meag that stood out to me when we were dating. That was a fantastic sign that she would turn out to be a fantastic mother.

Meagan is the love of my life. She is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. She dazzles me with her smile. She is the greatest mom my kids could ever ask for. I am excited to spend the rest of my existence with her. I love you Meag!
